The Department of Defense’s Office of Economic Adjustment, a proponent of developing comprehensive strategies to adjust to defense industry cutbacks, is giving back to the Johnstown community with a donation of $315,976 to The Creator Square Project. The grant was authorized Thursday by the Cambria County commissioners.
The Office of Economic Adjustment was founded in 1961 on the principal to cultivate strong programming opportunities throughout communities within the United States pertaining to economic development and adjustment strategies. The Department of Defense Office of Economic Adjustment grant is to be added to The Community Foundation for the Alleghenies’s grant to help initiate renovations to the Conrad building on market square.
